I really do hate blogging!

You want to know the God's honest truth about how much I hate it? I failed English my senior year of high school because I couldn't write papers, and that has never changed. The couple of years I spent at college my friend would write some of my papers for me... and ultimately I ended up failing that course when I tried to do it myself - no lie!

For 10 years in every course or retreat I attended I would hear all of the teachers talk about blogging and think to myself: I will never do it - no - I'm not going to, I don't want to and you can't make me!

Blogging - Is it necessary? Yes! Is it crucial for your business? Absolutely! Is it important to do it correctly? Without a doubt!

I discovered that all of the work I had done on my site was not helping me get found by Google, and that’s when I got serious about SEO and blogging the correct way. That’s when I learned to appreciate it.

Let's level the mountain of SEO and Blogging!! (Get your mental dynamite and excavator out)

What your blog is not:

  • A place for perfect dreamy pieces of literature (unless you decide that's your brand)

  • A place to display your galleries

  • A place where the photographers you idolize come to judge you

  • A place where your competition stalks you

  • Something your clients understand

  • Something your clients want to see/read (unless you make it part of your brand)

  • A place where your clients hang out

  • A place where grammar is checked

  • Something that needs to be reinvented with every post

  • Something that should require a lot of your time

  • Something that should take your energy and emotions

What your blog is:

  • A place for you to tell google who you are and what you do and for google to tell the World Wide Web

PERIOD. THAT’S IT.

You use keywords in your post (in the title, body and seo area) so that Google will start finding that information on your site. The more and more that Google finds that information on your site, the more and more it starts to tell people to look at your site.

When people click on the post link in the Google Search Result, you can track and see that they spend a few seconds on that post and then ultimately click to your static pages to find the information about you and your business.

That’s what your blog is for. It’s how you tell Google to tell your town about your services.

I can't wait to show you how to use your blog in an easy and effective way!
